Using a 1:1 current balun which is really nothing more than an RF choke on these multi-band doublets is generally preferred because of the wide range of loads they present. Transformer type baluns get hot and lossy when they are mismatched and they will almost always be mismatched with this sort of antenna.
I had a Cobra but I never was happy with it. There was trouble tuning and it didn't put out much of a signal. I have since gone to a windom which works very well. I suggest you look into a windom cut for the lowest frequency you have room for. These are fed with a 4:1 balun at the center because that presents a good match for the antenna. A good website for more information is http://www.kh2d.net/windom.cfm. A company called Buxcomm sells several versions and if you get the longest one you have room for, it will tune the higher bands. If you already have a 4:1 balun, you can make your own using the Cobra wire.
My windom is cut for 80 meters (135 feet long) and you can droop the ends down if you don't have room to run it all as a flat top. I am very pleased with mine and wish I had discovered it a long time ago. I wasted a lot of time and money playing with other so-called all band antennas before I hit on the windom.
