They finally have the manual out. UPDATE Universal Radio has a lot more info. Accessories are now listed. FCC has type accepted the radio and it is scheduled for delivery Fall '08 http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/ht/0008.html

Ok, so the manual has directions for connecting a TNC. Given that APRS is built in isn't there a TNC built into it? Did they really build in a TNC without making a data-port accessible to the user so that for any other digital use we still have to have a separate TNC?

It just went onto Universal Radios website http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/ht/0008.html with a list price of: $510.40 and their price: $409.95. So with the MH-74A7A speaker mic and the FGPS-2 gps unit, you will wind up blowing $522.85! I think I will wait on this one ;)

They arrived Dec 15th. HRO shipped me mine. I got it on Monday! Everything a VX-7R is plus the APRS best of the KENWOOD D7!

Love it! Has anyone tried another Bluetooth headset as they don't have theirs out yet? Other than that. It's a nice piece.
