Good morning,

I will be taking a trip this fall from New York to Wilmington, NC. As the large majority of my time will be on I-95, I was wondering if there was a compilation of 2 meter and/or 440 machines I might be able to access along the way. FWIW I have an Icom 208H in the car.

Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.

The 146.955- in Rockville, MD, and the 146.910- in Tysons Corner, VA are both wide-coverage machines without PL. There's also a repeater in College Park, MD, on 145.490-, but I can't vouch for the level of activity (or lack thereof). Check www.tmarc.org for further information (coordinating council for MD and VA repeaters), as there are many repeaters in the metro DC area.

I would like to thank you both for taking the time to respond and offer your suggestions.

Very much appreciated and the machines have been entered into the 208H memory.

Thank you again.

If you haven't taken your trip yet, here is an excellant web site that both graphically shows the repeaters and freq of a given area, and the mobile section gives you a great text version.

enjoy

hi John,

here are more repeaters that are also
linked repeaters.

http://www.pcrn.net/pcrn_rpt_list.htm

I should add that the 146.88 repeater is
a PCRN repeater open to all.
