What is the age range for this part of the forum?
I am 20, do I still count as youth?
Thanks!

It's a state of mind my friend. But if I had to be specific.. under 30 in Ham radio is quite young.

The older you get, the higher you rase the age you consider what youth is.
When I was 18: 35+ getting was old.
When I was 30: 50+ well on it's way to be old. And youth was less than 20.
When I turned 50 last year I realized I was now in the class of being old. And anyone under 30 was still a youth.
If I live to be 70+ I will probably look at someone under 50 as youthful.
In short the older you get the higher you raise the your outlook of what youthful age is.

Hahaha, thanks for the replies!
Here is my understanding of age.
+25 = getting up there
+30 = middle aged
+35 = entering golden years
+40 = full senior citizen
+50 = historic
+60 = prehistoric (supposedly the new 40)
+65 = Paleozoic
+70 = Precambrian (really old!)
+80 = Ham Radio Operator (LOL hi-hi)

I started at 14 now almost 60. I am still trying to re-live my youth and have spend many $$$$$ on equipment to build a station that I can do that with. Living in a deed restricted neighborhood, I have gone to great lengths to get back on the air HF -UHF. You are only as young as you feel. With a 5 year old Grandaughter, I'm feeling GREAT. See you on the air, any frequency almost any mode except PACTOR.
Good Luck

Well it is hard to find youth friendly activities, but for ham radio, it is not as youth oriented as it could be.

Good test:
Drive to the grocery store. Buy a few things. Walk back out to the parking lot. Do you remember where you parked the car, or do you have to look around? Looking for the big antenna on your car is considered cheating...
