Time magazine,USA Today and others reported last week that a Pentagon study found that 75% of Americans ages 17 to 24 are ineligible to enlist in the armed forces — obesity, dropouts/flunkouts, drug use, criminal behavior are the factors.
Ham radio should also have "fitness" standards for "Youth" to enter the hobby. As the Time piece noted, "Quality trumps quantity"
If you're "unfit" to serve the nation, you're not welcome in Ham radio.
Thankfully life is "unfair". And that is as it should be.

Now, now. Ya'll are scaring the children. No need to just come right out and confront them with an example of how early dementia causes the suffer to imagine they're entirely coherent while taking away the ability to recognize what's happening.
