VX-6R Modifying Channel Step Reply
by KE7OQE on November 7, 2009 Mail this to a friend!
Is there a way to modify the channel steps in the VX-6R. Defaults are - Auto,5.0k, 10.0k, 12.5k, 15.0k, 20.0k, 25.0k, 50.0k, and 100.0k. I need to tune into A new 700mhz freq. In particular, 770.81875, 771.06875, 771.31875 and 771.56875. maybe someone could recommend a good scanner that will monitor public safety in the 700mhz band

thx...

Excuse me for being blunt, but has it ever occurred to you, that they (the powers that be), don't want you to listen in? This is the exact reason several cellphone band segments are programmed out on wide-band receivers.

It's all going to be for naught very soon anyway, so save your monies. Why? Because their going to be using spread spectrum communications techniques, and no matter what you do, you won't be able to listen in.

George Orwell was very correct!
