Mars Nets Modes Reply

Is there any chance MARS nets will use CW again?
That is the primary reason I have not joined.
I operate CW 99.9% at my station and would gladly join if there were CW nets. Pete Florida

Army MARS and Navy-Marine Corps MARS both have re-instituted CW nets. I don't know about Air Force MARS. However, these are not primary traffic passing nets, at least not right now.

Voice and digital are still the primary means of passing traffic and voice nets are still the primary net mode. I doubt if CW nets will become a significant part of MARS operations again for a long time. They are still in the "join us on the net, if you like CW" stage.

AMTOR and RTTY are still used, but are fast being replaced with MT63.
