Hi i just passed my Technician Exam on 03/06/09 WOOHOO!! just waiting for my callsign wich i was told i should have by thursday. I would like to know if there is any ARMY or NAVY MARS near Allentown,PA. I just need some info first before i decide. Also im not rich so i have to figure out which radio ill need to. Thank you in advance for the help.

If you decide on Army MARS, be advised that the requirement will soon be General Class ham ticket to join. de NA4IT

You'll find that MARS is not the MARS of yesteryear. I was in Army Mars in the state of Washington, and I have to tell you, it was disorganized, nets were full of NON-military net controls who didn't have a clue, and it appeared to me most were just there for status, but it was unclear to me, what status.......???? I quit, and will never go back. sorry to be so blunt.
