Looking for help on how/where to mount an Icom 706MKIIG in a 2001 Nissan Xterrra.

Go to my web site and look under Installations. There isn't a Nissan in the bunch, but perhaps one of the others will give you an idea.

Yes I have seen it. Thank you! In my favorites now.
I now must rethink my 10 foot 10 gauge West Marine produts braided "romax" type cable.
What is your thoughts on protecting against transient spikes, the STO-P product is half the cost of the radio?

In almost 40 years I have never lost a radio to any kind of transient spike and that includes commercial installations. Of course, my radios are all off when starting the engine.
