Where is the best place to purchase antenna mast. I want to put a Diamond X200 vertical on about 20 feet of mast, attached to the side of the house. I know Radio Shack and some hardware stores sell some lightweight aluminum mast. Im looking for something a little heavier. Any suggestions?

Standard galvanized iron pipe comes in 21' lengths. Most
plumbing or home improvement stores should carry it.
Chain link fence top rail is another option.
Welding / steel places should have a source for 20' lengths
of steel pipe, which is probably overkill. The local scrap
metal dealer probably can help you out.
A greenhouse supply company will have pieces of structural
steel tubing as well - I've got a number of pieces up to
24' long that I salvaged from out greenhouse that collapsed
in the snow last year.
But in most cases the steel (not aluminum) TV mast sections
sold by Radio Shack and many hardware / home improvement
stores is probably adequate for many uses as long as
it is supported above the joint. Rather than trying
to tilt it up with the antenna mounted on top, instead
add the antenna on after the mast is vertical. (If you
can't reach the top because the mast is too tall, put
the antenna on top of one section, lift it vertically,
and put it down onto the lower section. The greatest
stress on the mast is while tilting it up. If you are
still worried about the mast joint, slip a piece of
steel pipe inside it, or slit a piece of larger pipe
and attach it over the joint and extending a foot or
two either side of it.
Part of your choice will depend on how close to the top
the mast is secured to the house: TV mast should be fine
if the bracket is just a few feet below the antenna,
but not if it is only 8' off the ground.

Check if there is a metals supermarkets in your area.

Another option is to have 8 ft lengths shipped to you UPS
www.onlinemetals.com
For longer lengths, you can put them together with clamps from Penninger Radio.
