I am currently installing a P60 Versatower (3x 20ft tiltover lattice tower)....
I have dug a hole 5ft x 5ft, but reached bedrock at a depth of only 30 inches. Using a drill, I managed to get down a further 18 inches into the bedrock (but this 18 inches is only 2ft x 2ft wide).
So, I have ended up with a 5ft x 5ft hole, which goes down to a depth of 4ft in the centre, but only 30 inches around the edge...
Is this enough for a 60ft tower?
If not, is it worthwile widening the top section to say 6ft x 6ft?

depending on the quality of the bedrock I would drill several anchor holes and install some chemical anchors.
weld those to your rebar and pour on that.
You can find the anchors at contractor suppliers like fastenall, they look like test tubes filled with epoxy and aggregate. you drop them into the holes and screw in your anchor. Good stuff and most secure. Make sure you clean the surface rock well and use a bonding agent. your local salesman should be a good source for the details.
I installed a 55' tower directly to granite with these anchors and they have stood for 18 years now. I just used "pour rock" as a bonding agent between the tower base and stone.
