I was a cw radio operator in the Army. When I was discharged in 1959, I wanted to get my ham ticket. I did'nt know any hams at that time and someone told me about Friday. I went to see him and he gave me my first test. He was also the first cw qso I had as a Ham. Friday will be greatly missed here in Harlan county.

For the past 4 years I have chatted with Friday on 3960. He was always a gentleman and was very knowledgable of many topics. I was a great thrill for me to be able to go by and visit him there at Rose Hill. He gave me a tour of his shack then we took a ride around the property. His love for the homeplace was only second to his love for the Lord. Mr. Wolfe was a very gracious man whom I shall look forward to sharing Heaven with.
