Jim Hire (W8ZET)
July 11, 2002
My friend Jim, W8ZET passed away Thursday. I will the email from his wife Janeen say it.
Dear everyone, As I sit here this morning it is with a very heavy heart that I write this e mail. I have tried to call as many people as possible but it has become overwhelming to me. At 5 a.m. yesterday morning I lost Jim. He had a minor out patient surgery on Monday. He came home that afternoon but as the evening and night wore on he began having complications. He was readmitted to the hospital and as Tues and Wed wore on his body began to deteriorate and as the time wore on the doctors could not keep up with what was happening. I struggle writing this as he so much wanted to live but it wasn't to be. I have a very heavy heart this a.m. but wanted to let you know the details as much as at this time I can think and write. All of you have meant so much to us and even though it may have been awhile since we have been together our thoughts are with you. I hope we can maintain contact. I am not great at the computer but will certainly have alot of time to learn. I must go on and live with cherished memories, not ask why but just remember that I must take each day as it comes, God's will is God's way, and keep Jim in my heart. Please e mail, come and see me or let me hear from you. We so enjoyed our travels and were planning to do some more in the near future. Maybe even stop to see you but under the circumstances I will need to rethink where I will begin again. Our love for each other was very deep and he will be missed so much. I must close for now but please keep in touch. My thoughts are with all of you. Love Janeen
