Norman Thompson (AH6E)

June 16, 2002

One of the best Ham friends I had for the past 35 years. Although we were miles apart, I did get to visit with him many times in Hawaii in the 60's, and the last time in 1994.

Some photos and other thoughts about Norm can be found at: http://www.kingschair.com/norm/ This info was posted by Smokey, AH6PQ Note the photo of the 20 meter beam Norm put up here on Kauai in 1936!! The beam was at Kauai High School where Katachi Nose, KH6IJ aLso taught. The building in the photo is now gone, but the three trees shown are still there. Was the first beam in Hawaii, it is believed. 73, Jim KH7M On the Gareden Island of Kauai
