Jorge F. Vrsalovic (LU7XP)

october 12, 2002

Our teacher and friend Jorge LU7XP, pass away. He was a very well know DXer and one of the GACW coordinatos. We want to think that he is close to Jesus taking the advantage of a very good receiver to QSO Mont Athos in CW, the only one he needed. He will be in the "Sky Ham Bar" with Luciano LU6DJX and the rest of the group, drinking tea and pushing them to prepare a new DXpedition to a distant small cloud.

Our old friend Jorge passed away yesterday, after a severe heart problem. Sure, we will miss the southern DXer in our Country, but we will always remember the lessons Jorge gave us in every minute of his life. Jorge was 74 years old, and was on in every pile up with his old vertical, and a very nice set up, but full of patience to work that "hard one". Honest, true, a real "whole" guy, was only waiting for his Mount Athos CW contact .... Our condolences to his lovely and very kind wife Mary, and we are sure Jorge will RIP. Raul/LU6EF GACW Coordinators
