Everett (Ev)Trezise (KQ7H)

Everett(Ev)Trezise, KQ7H, was born 29 November 1917 at Lomita, CA,and was first licensed an amateur radio operator in 1933. Ev entered the Army in 1940 and was scheduled to board a troopship to the Philippines when the Japanese attacked and cut off reinforcements to Bataan. Ev spent the remainder of WWII as a weather observer and an electronic equipment repairman in Australia. Ev retired from the Army in 1960 as a Captain and entered Civil Service, retiring again in 1980. Ev (along with three others)engineered and built Huachuca City's (Arizona) first cable TV system. Ev continued his tower and and antenna building talents with the construction of the 140 foot tower with the 40 meter Yagi at the Cochise Amatuer Radio Association's QTH, Green Acres. Every Saturday you could find Ev at Green Acres participating in the CARA building activities. Ev was a friend and Elmer to many a Ham and he will be missed.
