Elton D. Abbott (KE5JE)

May 15, 2003

I had known Elton for less than a year. He was a kind person and a real gentleman. He was an active DX'er and a member of Navy MARS in Oklahoma and was a regular on several traffic nets, including his favorite,The 7290 Traffic net. He was helping a friend work on an antenna when he collapsed. Elton was in his early 80's when he became a silent key. 73 Old Friend, we will miss you.
