Peter Lambert Van Duivendyk (KA8ZAZ)

April 28,2003

Peter Van, the "vertical man", went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 28,2003. Peter and his wife Jannie, were missonaries for many years, and even though both suffered many ailments later in life, continued to serve the poor and sick and needy. Peter was an accomplished and published poet, who spent many hours writing some of the most beautiful words I've ever heard. There is not enought space on the entire internet, to hold all the people who he has touched. My favorite memories of Pete was when he would come over, and we'd go to a local soda fountain and have cake and coffee and talk " Ham Radio". He would always hold my hand and we would end our visit by saying a prayer. Such faith I haven't seen since. God bless you Peter. May you rest in peace.
