Harold Steege (N3AVW)

21 March 2001

N3AVW was my Dad. He introduced me to ham radio and we had many hours of fine QSO's. He was a Navy radioman in WW2 and then worked COMMS for "The Agency". I used to listen to him and his friends, on "The Rusty Mikes Net" on 20meters. He could run extremely fast CW, as could all the fellows from his generation and background. He also had the call K4SKA when he lived in Virginia. I will miss him. 73's Dad
