Dick Seiler (KB7NNJ)

I met Dick Seiler while living in an old 5 th wheeler in NW Washington. He was a Ham and a Prospector. One day he walked into my trailer and said, he had found the Mother Lode. Just 37 miles South on the side of I-5 He told me a huge rock had loosened itself on top of the mountain and that it was filled with priceless crystals. Well I picked up shovels, crowbars and pick axes and in my imagination became the owner of a 50 foot motorhome. Dick also was in Dreamland. When we arrived in the pooring rain we found out that our wealth was a large boulder of Concrete that was placed on top of the mountain to secure the steel netting preventing loose rocks coming down. I learned last year that he passed away. A true friend and above all a GREAT HAM . I miss him KB7LYM
