Emil A. Berube (W2DGV)
February, 1995
Emil was actually my grandfather. A metalsmith in the Boston Shipyard during WW2, he learned the trade well enough to fabricate his own radio gear when he held the call W1IQH( Lawrence, Mass). Moving to Fredonia, NY in the 50's, he took the call of W2DGV. He held WAS, WAC, DXCC, CP-40, and was a member of the QCWA. I will never forget seeing his demonstration of radio when I was 9 years old...and sticking with me until I became a Novice in 1989. Thanks grandpa.....John
