Barry H. Burton, Sr. (KC4ST)

February , 1990

Barry was one of the best friends I ever had, and was the one that got me serious about becoming a amatuer radio operator. He loved his Ham radio and had made confirmed contacts in over 300 countries at the time of his passing. I believe there were only 302 or 303 countries with active amatuer programs at that time. He had numerous "Worked All States" for the various bands. He was generous in letting people talk with other family members stationed or serving in other countries. He was equally as generous in the other aspects of his life. He was a born again Christian, served his Lord, his family and his friends well. He was one of the finest businessmen I knew and achieved much prominence and financial success. He happily gave back to his community. I think about him quite often.
