HOBART COMBS (W0NRX)

2002

Hobart was one of those ELMERS that was involved in everything. He was on the POSTOFFICE net and a MARS operator for 40 years. He held radio classes for nearly 30 years on and off . He was my Grandma's neighbour and allways had time for the little boy who wanted to " talk on the radio". Hobart Combs was also a deacon in his church a community leader and even into his 70's a volunteer ambulance paramedic. He is sorely missed by friends and fellow hams who knew him in and around Grant City, Missouri I don't know or care if you believe in an afterlife, BUT I believe that W0NRX, Hobart Combs was met at the gates of the promised land and escorted to his just reward immediately. He is now operating in that big station in the sky next to HIS Elmer.
