Kathy Zamor (N9SVR)

June 15, 2001

Kathy was a friendly voice on the radio, and lived on the 147.03 rkd repeater. She would talk your ear off, and always gave everyone support. She had finally met the man of her dreams, and was getting down to a normal life. She had smoked for so long, and developed a bad cough. She had a heartattack, and got a quad bypass. We all thought the worst was over. Then, one evening, we heard a full arrest on the scanner. It was Kathy. While watching videos of the vacation to hawaii, she slipped from our grasp, and went to be with God. I still expect to hear "N9SVR monitoring" on the repeater. Her voice still ever present in my head. Part of me misses her, but the other half of me thinks,"At least there is one person up there, rooting for me." Rest well my friend, until we meet again. Hopefully a long time from now.
