Clyde Kane (W0HEV)

Jan. 12, 2004

The amateur radio community lost a good friend this past week. Clyde Kane, W0HEV, of Big Lake, MN. Clyde was very active in county hunting. He had earned "Worked all counties" multiple times. He was always available to give his county to anyone that needed it. Clyde has earned many DX Awards, ARRL 5 Band WAS, ARRL 6 Meter WAS, ARRL 6 Meter VUCC and ARRL 10 Meter WAS just to name a few. Clyde was also an Extra Class/VE. I got to know Clyde the summer of 2002. We were rag chewing on the local repeater about the need to have VE exams in the Elk River MN area. As of that we had our first VE exams in October 2002. Clyde, we are sad to see you go. 73's to our good friend. Allan (N0ALW) & Lisa Wicklund
