Charles Denningham (W3GX)

May 1986

I first met "Denny" on 28.8 Mhz AM. He was a regular fixture of the Baltimore Chapter of the 10-10 net. You could find him most evenings on 10 meters in the early to mid 1970's with this Johnson Viking and inverted L antenna. Denny was an original. He liked to reminisce about the "Good Old Daze", his spelling, in the 1920s when he was 1GX in Ipswich Mass. He could heat the finals of that Viking with many a story of going out to the shack, a separate building then and firing up the rig. He was a practioner of the long ragchew and was entertaining to hear. RIP Denny Frank AC3P (ex-WA3RVR)
