Lincoln Engwall (WE8SIX)
Amateur Radio is made up of some of the greatest people I have never met. During a QSO we may share weather reports, QTHs, what we do, the rigs that we use and other little bits and pieces of our life. Sometimes we may only have a brief exchange with a cool DX-pedition or are able to meet up with old friends on a regular basis. Lincoln Engwall, WE8SIX, was a voice I heard often when I traveled back home to visit my father, Ron Gorzynksi, K8DID, and mother, Bonnie, KA8DID, in Michigan. Sadly, Lincoln died this weekend and while I never had the privilege of meeting him face-to-face, he was one of the nicest people I have never met. His cheerful voice on 2 meters welcoming me back home as I neared town will be sorely missed. 88 to you Lincoln de D.
