KIRK VAN SICKLE (KA2DAD)

Kirk was a good friend of mine and was
taken two days after my friend W2FCH, the
only difference being that Herb, W2FCH was
86 and Kirk was in his 40's. They were
two rooms apart at Central Suffolk Hospital
in Riverhead , NY, on Long Island.
When I got back on the air in 1993 it was
Kirk who helped me get the antenna up and
loaned me his Yaesu until I came up with
something. He was always there when I needed
some technical help. That's the way he was
right up to the end. The last time I spoke
to him he just wanted to go home and get on
the air. You know, so did Herb. Kirk
and Herb, good friends --gone but not
forgotten.
