George (Snowball) Moore (W4SIR)

July 14, 2001

George was a dear friend to many hams and he was always helping someone with parts and information to help get you on the right track if you had a problem with radio or antennas. He lived in Dorchester, S.C. after retiring from the Air Force. He was murdered at his home when he walked in on a robbery in progress. We sure miss you on 3.915 and hope you are having a great time in heaven teaching "ham radio" to the Angels.

Snowball was a kind man, and his voice of reason is sorely missed on 3.938 by many of his friends. I am grateful that the perpetrators of this terrible crime were finally caught.
