Pete DePasquale (W1GUC)

I first met Pete when I moved into the same little town of East Granby, CT. As I tuned across the 10 meter band I found this enormous rock crushing signal working some guy in Australia. After listening to the QSO I introduced myself to Pete. What a great guy to have living nearby. He was always lauging and telling stories. Pete could fix anything, and always helped me out as I began to find my way around a schematic. He was always "working" on something and never seemed to have a down day. Pete had more friends around the world than anyone I have ever known. His coffee pot was always on and the door was never locked at his house. I miss having him stop by as he used to. Even though he would now and then run over my mailbox on the way out. Those who knew Pete all have their own stories to tell. He was an A-1 great guy.
