Roger BAILEY (KDěPR)

ROGER D. BAILEY KDěPR July 24, 1933 - September 20, 2004 Grinnell, Iowa Roger was born on July 24, 1933, in Grinnell, Iowa, He was raised in the Grinnell area and attended rural schools and Grinnell High School. During the Korean Conflict, he served with the U.S. Army in Germany. On March 7, 1953, he was married to Bessie Schmidt in Grinnell. The couple lived in Grinnell and he worked for various construction companies, Ahrens Manufacturing Company and for Eddie Anderson. He was also employed in Plant #2 at the Maytag Company in Newton for 31 years. He was a member of the Grinnell American Legion and the VFW. I had great fun with Roger and he was very very helpful to me in the pursuit of Amateur Radio.
