John Fox (KE6AXJ)

Nov. 4, 2004

John was a true gentleman, & will be missed! He was very active, on the "Blue Line Net" on the 147.270MHZ repeater, for a number of years. I had the pleasure of meeting him, in person, at the swap meet near El Segundo, California. He had recently retired, from General Motors. His QTH was Downey, California.

I second Claude's posting and remember "Downey John" for his contributions to the "Noon Group". This was a daily net made up mostly of elderly hams checking to see that each other were doing fine. He made it a point to make a comment to each participant and cheered many a day. He will be missed.

Knowing john was a pleasure, he will be missed here in the LA area.talking with him here at a local repeater 147.270 he made me laugh so many times while having a late night QSO with him will always be a memory for me.His dedication to reading books and music were always top on his list 73 John you will be missed Bruno KF6GOM
