Tom and I were radio buddies for 25 years. We had great times on 6 meters and the other vhf/uhf bands. Had fun working together helping to put on our local hamfest's. Great conservations on a multitude of subjects and just plain enjoyed the company. I shall try to make you and Johnny proud. 73, sk .. Ken KA2LIM

Tom was a very dear friend and mentor. He helped me get started in ham radio almost 40 years ago as WN2PBQ. There were few better than Tom in any VHF contest. Field days- We were way out in the country, on a hilltop one field day. I rembeber haveing to use a very old, very high power, 11 meter AM transmitter to contact Tom at his home. I gave his phone number to another ham to call his house. His phone number was heard on TW sets for at least 80 miles in all directions. Tom, received many very nice calls that day, something about messing up their favorite TV show and if he ever did it again... All those 872's give off a nice glow in the dark. We will miss him dearly. 73's old friend.

Tom was a very dear friend and mentor. He helped me get started in ham radio almost 30 years ago as WN2RBQ. Tom was one of the best VHF contestants going. On fild days- There was this time, we were way out in the country, on a hilltop, lots of radios, but no phone. To contact Tom I used a very old very high power 11 meter AM transmitter to contact someone nearby and gave Toms phone number to call. Seems that any TV set within an 80 mile radius also got Toms number as they all called him. Friendly bunch, wanted to know where he lived so if he ever interrupted their favorite TV show again...That was almost 35 years ago and I think Tom still gets calls about it. We will all miss you 73's dear friend.

Tom was, without a doubt, a good man. He was my 6-meter mentor, and spent a number of years trying to figure out just how he'd done so well on the "Magic Band". We'd spend hours talking about plans, comparing notes, and just generally having fun. Went to visit him at his house 12/31/04, talked with him on 2m during the VHF Sweepstakes, and now he's gone. Rest in peace, Tom. 73

Tom was one of the special ones on 6m! He had a talent for pulling DX out of thin air...when others didn't. He had a 6th sense for 6m for sure. We became good friend through his use of my chat website. And I always enjoyed his unique points of view! I miss him dearly! Rest in Peace Tom! You'll never be forgotten!
