Robert Lawhon (AI5O)

April 6, 2000

Robert Lawhon was my Elmer. He was a true friend and a christian brother and preacher. Robert was an Extra class and a 1st class engineer. He taught many ham classes. He worked for a tv cable company for a while in Craig County Oklahoma and designed many of the components for the system. He was the Emergency Coordinator for Craig County for a number of years. He has a wonderful singing voice and a great family.

Robert Lawhon was both my uncle and my christian brother. He was undoubtedly a wizard with electronics of all kinds. To me, he was someone I owe many things to, namely my love for singing and for the scriptures. Although he was a dear friend, I don't think of him as a contemporary, but as a mentor. I'll carry his memory with me for the rest of my life and if I could say one last thing to him it would simply be, "thank you :)"
