Honeywill, Bill (G4PJ)

Mid 1970s

Bill, a real UK old timer, first licenced before WW2, was my mentor in ham radio, teaching me morse and allowing me to use his station when first licenced in 1967. His station was located in Salcombe UK and he had an earth rod that went straight down into the sea! Needless to say, his signal was BIG on 80m and top band. Bill had a big heart and big voice - I owe him a lot.
