Gordon Jacoby (W4PQX)

August 3, 2005

Imagine that you and I were hams in the same town and never knew it until you called me one day and told me that you moved within about a mile from my retirement home fifteen hundred miles from our birthplace. We grew to be friends, worked on antennas and all the usual ham-related things. You loved your CW and making stateside friends, and I enjoyed our roundtables. Health concerns got in the way and the last words that you told me the other night, that we should get together more often, were on the mark. We'll have to do that, Gordy. It may take a little time, but it will be in a better place. Ham radio brought our friendship together. Lucky and I sure miss you.I guess that's the price you pay for having a good friend.
