Douglas McGraves (WB1CIW)

Doug was born in Brunswick, Maine, the son of Donald and Velma McGraves, graduated from Brunswick HS in 1961 and the Powers School of Acting and Broadcasting in Boston.
He married Phyllis Spear in Topsham on March 17, 1974.
Doug worked as a radio announcer with the name of Doug Steel at Boston and Lewiston, Maine radio stations. He was employed at the former Porter-Shaw Ford dealership in Brunswick and later at Bates and Cunningham Volvo in Topsham for 26 years as parts manager and in the parts department at Portland (Maine) Volvo for the past six years.
He was a Mason and a Shriner and served as master of United Lodge of Masons in 1987
He was an amateur radio operator and a Volunteer Examiner and was active and had many friends in the amateur community in Maine. He also built and flew model airplanes and enjoyed computers, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife of Topsham, his mother of Brunswick and two sisters Jane Lloyd and Janet McGraves. He was 57. ........................................................................................................................................
