Saw Frank once a month on my way home from the TRW swap meet every month. He sure sold me lots of gear at Henry Radio also. What a great guy to talk to and do business with at Henry's.

Frank's gravelly voice was instantly recognizable on 20 meters. I met him one Easter weekend around 1970 and he showed me his shack. Nice HB pair of 4-1000s and a BIG variac. In later years he only ran a Henry 2K. He was one of the characters of the day and always had a great signal from his central L.A. Qth.

Hey Harris,
I've seen that HB 4-1000a pair in action, well, actually the "second" pair... I think only Frank could "Melt" that tube !!! I've actually seen the caved-in 4-1000!!! what a signal...
