Hi all, it is with much saddness that I must report the passing of a good friend of mine and, many others here in Southern California. Al or,'Uncle Al' as he reffered to suffered an un expected stoke recently and,was hospitalized. Unfortunately the day after thanksgiving 'Uncle Al'passed away :( For many years 'Unlcle Al' was a staple here in LA on a local two meter system. Al was a great guy. We often got involved in a match of wits. Al spoke with a Souther drawl but, don't let that fool you hi,hi. He was sharp as a tack! He chose his words wisley :) Good natured and, easy going those were 'Uncle Al's traits' I am sure his deminted sense of humor will be missed by all who had the pleasure of chatting with him. I met him back in 1992. He was a real charcter. I will miss our conversations. 73 'Uncle Al' DE:Motorcycle Bob. KD6YBT
