Henry C. Kelley, Jr. (W4HK)

June 17th, 2005

In Loving Memory Of Henry C. Kelley, Jr. May 17, 1931 - June 17, 2005 I first met Henry back in the late 1980's. Henry was first and foremost my best friend, and my mentor. Some of you may know that Henry was very interested in Amateur Radio (Ham Radio). Henry got me into Ham Radio, and stayed on me, until I received my Novice License in 1990. Henry didn't let me rest, he was always pushing, encouraging me to upgrade my license and 6 months later I became a Technician. It took about 10 years more, however I became a General Class Ham Radio Operator. I think about Henry Kelley everyday. Henry, in my opinion, either you loved Henry or your hated him - Of course I loved him and cherished his friendship - We didn't agree on a lot of things, politics was one subject we didn't share the same views, however we both agreed to disagree. Henry and I also shared something else very important. Our love of God. Henry quickly found out that I'm a EA from Norcross Lodge. Many Many things have kept me from obtaining my 2nd and 3rd degrees. However, I know that it would make Henry extremely proud for me to become a MASON - I have spoken with Brother John Williams, and is doing his best to find out what I need to get back and get my degrees in the very near future. I could go on and on about Henry, however I will conclude by saying, Henry I miss you, however I know that God needed you in Heaven and surely you are walking on streets made of Gold. God Bless you my dear dear friend, rest in peace. Daniel W4ADT August 18th, 2005
