Bill Scee (WB2AOI)

June 26,2004

When it came to ham radio, talking to Bill was like talking to an encyclopedia as he was very knowledgable of the hobby. Bill was a very liked and respected member of the local amateur radio community, and will truly be missed. Rest well, WB2AOI (Amateur Of Integrity). We'll meet again someday.

Bill was a good friend of mine for more than twenty five years. I met Bill and his wife Helen in the mid 70's. Bill always had a minute to chat or answer your questions when you were learning the hobby. There was a time spanning about 5 years that my young daughter was ill with cancer. My wife and I were making 300 mile round-trip visits to a hospital in Syracuse in some terrible weather conditions. Bill and Helen used to invite us to stop at there home and warm up with coffee and hot chocolate every time we drove through the area. Needless to say I will always remember Bill as a good friend. 73 old friend until we chat further down the log............

I knew Bill for about 5 years before moving to Virginia in 2001. I just moved back to the Watertown, NY area and was upset that Bill had passed away. He was always there if you had a question and would give you or let you borrow ANYTHING out of his shack if you really needed it. Amateur Of Integrity is an understatement.
