Dave Tag (N0HLI)

March 4, 2006

Dave, N0HLI, was a long time member of the Suburban Radio Club in St. Louis, Missouri and a Ham's ham. Over the 20 years or so that I have known Dave he has always been both an Elmer and voice of reason when it came to club and Amateur concerns and issues. He was, and continued until his death, to be a Ham-Teacher to both perspective hams and young hams-to-be. I sure will miss him as I know many in St. Louis will too.

About 2 months after getting my license, I met Dave at our club’s field day and he introduced me to HF and showed me how to make some contacts. Naturally I was a little nervous, but Dave was very patient and made a few contacts and then turned the radio over to me. I regret not knowing him longer than I did, as he was a super person.
