I knew Jim long before he was on Ham Radio he was called 30 30 because he re-shelled his own ammo and had an extensive knowledge of firearms. He worked very hard all his life his was in construction for a long time and he found Ham Radio about when I did in the late 80s early 90s he loved making antennas and playing on 6meters. He just talk to me on echolink up here in Gainesville a few weeks before he passed, like many of the West Palm Group I will miss him a lot, he is now with Manny and Chuck NPB and Chuck BUG, and Henry, Charlie and all our freinds up there in the big pileup in the sky. 73 Jim hope to hear ya on a moonbounce....
