My Father-in-law and elmer is now a SK, a victim of Parkinson's. We've been expecting it for a long time but it still doesn't make it easy. A USAF radio operator in the air and in on ground in Alaska during the late 40's to early 50's. Gordon looked over my shoulder as I assembled my first series of Heathkits in the early 70's. When I got my ticket, he was my first contact. He was a cw op mainly with his brothers in Minnesota. A true engineer through and through, his children nicknamed him 'the captain' because of his passion for detailing all projects down to the last '.' and then double checking it.
