Allen Emer (N2YAC)

June 2006

Al Emer was a good friend and loved the outdoors as well as amateur radio. Al and I got started in Amateur radio about the same time and he helped my begin my activites with amateur radio satellites. We both enjoyed that facet of the hobby and enjoyed making contacts with the Mir Space Station as well as the ISS. Al also loved the outdoors. He was an avid camper, loved to kayak on the rivers and explore the outdoors. He also had a large sailboat to which he enjoyed with his wife Sue (KB2TWL) and his son Sean (KC2DIJ). Both my wife and I got to enjoy in that fun with him and his family several times out at sea. May you rest in peace Al. We will miss you! 73, de Ken, N2SMT
