Ken Wood (K6IIS)

2003

Kenny Wood, K6IIS, a long time resident of Fontana, CA., died a few months ago. He was one of my Elmers when I first started out in amateur radio as WN6IFG. Kenny found an old World Radio Labs Globe Chief 90 and rebuilt it for me -- it was my first transmitter to go along with a Hallicrafters SX-96. Big medicine to a 13 year old. I turn 46 next week and will always remember Kenny and treasure the many memories of our long friendship. You were a part of the best and most important years of my life -- you will be missed, my old friend. - WG7K Steve Cook Tucson, AZ
