HENRY JONES (KB8VBK)

MARCH 6, 1998

Thie is a poem my wife KB8YKO wrote when Henry passed. He was a very good friend. And I think this tells his story. AN ANGEL CALLING Yesterday's airwaves alive in my mind, a grizzled voice comes through, And says to us,don't make a fuss, I'll always be with you. He says he's fine now, not to fear, and making it on his own. The sun on his face, a real nice place, and he doesn't feel alone. He's faced the toughest times and more, he's handled his fair share. He's left this earth, for what it's worth, and all it's hard times there. Dealt a hand that most of us, would never want to hold. No ace up his sleeve, it's hard to believe, the times he refused to fold. So it comes as no surprise to me, to see him plain as day, Standing tall, amongst them all, and then I hear him say.... You'll hear me now, just listen close, to a different frequency. I'll meet you there, my friend, I swear, though I'm a silent key. Weep not for the days gone by, nor what will never be. In the heart of a friend, love never ends, I live in memory. So take to the airwaves one more time, a net to end them all. I've rigged a tower, with the Almighty's power, and found me a heavenly call. BY BETH " KB8YKO" Flower
