Madeline Greenberg (W2EEO)

May, 2003

I will miss my Grandma Madeline...she was always there for me...played Scrabble together...she taught me to swim. She was an active member of the YLRL for many years and a MARS operator... My Grandfather Art, W2LH passed 10 years ago...they were my inspiration to go into a technology oriented career. She is survived by 6 Grandkids, 14 GG children...1 GGG Grandchild Radio brought Madeline and Art many friends from all over the world, many of who they got a chance to meet. They were friends with King Hussein of Jordan, who met with them in NYC from time to time....they were also involved with the Chaverim group out of 4x4 land...Some of you may have seen their Antenna lecture which they gave for many years in many places. Madeline was Art's Vanna ;-) N6VSU ex W2GPK Sylvia is her daughter K2ACM Marty is her son W2CYK ex WA2JDH, N0FYS is me, Bob...her 4th grandchild. My call was their station license at my home for many years. I will miss her. Bob

I'm sad to learn of Madeline's passing.. I knew both Art and Madeline from the old days when I worked in there Hardware store on East 138th Street (I was 15 years old) in the Bronx back in the 1960's. I was then a student at Samuel Gompers High School and had the call WB2ORH. I later moved to East 161st Street about 2 blocks from where the Greensberg's lived.. Before they moved full time to Wading River.. It's really the end of an era..Art & Madeline.. RIP.. Steve/K2WE Dobbs Ferry, NY
