David Hand (N5IK)

July 2004

David Hand was N5IK and prior to that AA5YF. He was dedicated to helping others and spent his life doing so. He coached me in tower climbing and in morse code so that I finally passed the 20wpm exam. That's the way he was. He touched the lives of numerous radio operators. He was also an accomplished blue Grass musician playing guitars and mandolins and more. He was a charter member of Tri-County Amateur Radio Club of North Texas, and helped start the famous NCTECH Hamfest.
