Joan Melton Bartay (N5MRJ)

May 27, 2007

Joan Melton Bartay was a founding member of Tri-County Amateur Radio Club in Azle Texas. She once had been the owner of an aircraft parts company. When I got to know her she was a sweet retired lady. She tried to check into the club nets frequently. She was a dedicated genealogist. She was generous to a fault, and always reached out as a friend. Here' her obituary: Joan M. Bartay, 85, an entrepreneur, died May 27, 2007. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Survivors include her son, Louis A. Bartay III and wife Sheri; granddaughters, Leah Bartay, Lori Turnbow and husband Billy; grandson, Louis A. Bartay IV; and seven great-grandchildren.
